The Section may elect two people for HONORARY
MEMBERSHIP each year.
All nominations must be received by September 30th of each year and meet the following
criteria:
1. Worked at least 25 year in the profession.
2. Been a member, in good standing, of the national body of ACSM.
3. Contributed to the profession by teaching, and/or speaking, and/or
publishing, and/or
serving in an official position in the Section or in the
national organizations.
4. Help promote the profession by participation in conferences, seminars, etc.
5. Been ready and willing to assume any responsibility for the good of the
profession.
6. Stood for high principles and ethics.
7. Been a force in the furthering the ideas of the profession.
8. Achieved recognition an respect among his or her peers.
9. Set a positive example and been a credit to the profession.
10. Been a surveyor or mapper who's name readily comes to mind when considering all of the
above.
If you would like to make a nomination please contact
Dan Gregory, our Section Chairman, and include the following information: Your name, and
the name of the person you are nominating along with any information you would like to
provide about meeting the above 10 requirements.
Upon receiving all nominations, a ballot will be sent out to the
Executive Board. Ballots will be tallied and honorary membership announced at the
Fall meeting.
